Coaching Life Quotes on Achieving Success
It is seldom that companies and managers recognize unexpected success. The preconceived notion about success comes from always expecting it to be the result of hard and diligent work. Managers are hard-pressed to expect innovation or assumptions based on success that is realized simply by expected normalcy of daily ongoing business practices. Few companies are willing to risk their fate to the unexpected even though the company has continued to grow and prosper over a period of time. Yet it does actually happen. The unexpected success can be a bright spot in a month or year that is clearly going backwards. Managers tend to accept it and march forward unwilling to acknowledge the success for what it is, or worse, taking credit where none is due.
The recognition of unexpected success should not be neglected. Once it is identified, the company and the manager should analysis it, absorb it, and learn from it. There are certainly lessons to be learned and possibly put into place for the future. That way, the unexpected becomes expected and success is earned rather than left to chance happenings.
