Disgust is an emotion, typically associated with things that are perceived as unclean or inedible. Food tends to bring this emotion to the forefront faster than other activities. Although, I have to admit that I become thoroughly disgusted when I see the money paid to the IRS at the end of each tax year.

It is a marked aversion to something that we perceive to be distasteful. Smelly, wet dogs come to mind for some reason. This emotion causes us to lose interest in something. It may even make us choose to loathing, or repugnance, as the emotion.

There are few things that really disgust me. Snakes, large spiders, lice are a few examples. When it comes to people, those who rant about situations without offering any feasible alternative creates the emotion for me. Reality TV is another example.

I’m sure you have your own or may disagree with mine. I like this emotion because it lets others know exactly how you feel visually. Your face will give you away.
