Leadership Balance

When you look at your leadership wheel of life, what portion is balance? We look at the things that are instrumental in our happiness and select the options that provide gratification and balance. As individuals we all have different slices of the pie that are specific to our own situation. However, there are some commonalities that we all share which bring aspects of our lives together such as out our families, our faith, and our social responsibilities. Most of us care about our families, no matter the idiosyncrasies or quirks. Every family has them. Most of us believe in something greater than our own being, no matter who we pray to or what we call it. And as the world becomes more crowded and the problem we hear and read about daily seem to be insurmountable, our individual sense of social concern demands that we participate in daily living, helping those that may less fortunate or have encountered a situation that requires friendship and understanding.

Leadership is not a game to be played by those that want to take advantage. It should be considered a way of life that produces new slices in the wheel of life and expands those that truly matter to each of us. By giving a little, we receive a great deal. Where, when, and how we choose to give is personal. Only you will know for sure. Others notice, but may remain mute. We have to believe in what we are selling. It carries through from our work into our own very personal circumstances. Without this belief, we can become lost. Find your way, then show others. The good will you produce will return to you over and over again.
