Life Quotes on Education

It is important to understand the clear distinction between education, knowledge, and wisdom. Most of us don't have the time to sit under a tree and wait for the wisdom to occur. A gentleman recently called me to ask about entering the coaching business. Although his experience was vast, his formal education was minimal. I told him that no matter the amount of education one has, it is the use of the knowledge that has been gained over time that translates into self-worth and wisdom. If he felt that his experiences could be translated and imparted to others, then he could consult effectively.

Education is the path to knowledge. We seek knowledge as human beings searching for an understanding that education and experience pushes us to question. Knowledge implies multiple insights, but our wisdom comes from singular insight. We impart our knowledge with words whereas our wisdom is oftentimes evident by our silence.

The truest form of education is not everything that we know, but our ability to share the most important parts of life with others. That is true wisdom.
